I am a Research Fellow in the Human Factors Research Group in the Faculty of Engineering, at the University of Nottingham. My research will form part of the Made Smarter Innovation people-led digitalisation project.
I completed a PhD in Philosophy at the University of Nottingham in 2023. My thesis is an ethical exploration of the implementation of robot nurses in residential care homes for the elderly, with specific reference to care, consent, dignity, and deception.
Prior to that, I worked in education for a number of years, mainly as a lecturer in A Level Philosophy and A Level Sociology.
My research interests, broadly construed, lie in ethics, social and political philosophy, and philosophy of law. I have a particular interest in the philosophical and practical problems arising from our development and use of digital technologies.
